About the role

We're building a serious tool for serious operators. The UI needs to feel calm, technical, and trustworthy — never gimmicky. As the lead designer you'll set the visual and interaction language across the product, the marketing site, and our brand. You'll work directly with engineering and ship in Tailwind and shadcn when the round-trip through Figma slows the work down.

What you'll do

  • Own the design system across the product (Tailwind v4 + shadcn/ui) and the marketing site.
  • Lead UX for end-to-end flows: source setup, mapping, scheduling, run history, billing.
  • Push the brand system forward — typography, color, motion, illustration.
  • Pair tightly with engineering — you'll review PRs and ship small CSS fixes yourself.
  • Run lightweight customer interviews to validate flows before they get built.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of product design, including time as the lead designer at a small team or startup.
  • Strong systems thinking — you ship cohesive surfaces, not disconnected screens.
  • Comfortable in code: you can read and edit Tailwind classes and React components.
  • A portfolio that shows restraint and clarity, not visual maximalism.

Nice to haves

  • Background designing for technical operators (developer tools, data tools, infra dashboards).
  • Experience leading a brand refresh or a design-system rebuild.
  • Have shipped marketing-site work that converts without feeling like a marketing site.

Compensation & benefits

$140K – $180K + equity. Salary bands are honest — the range above is what we'll actually pay, anchored on level and location. Plus:

  • Meaningful early-stage equity (4-year vest, 1-year cliff).
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage (US) or local equivalent (EU).
  • Home-office stipend and annual learning budget.
  • Four weeks of vacation, plus the week between Christmas and New Year.
  • Twice-yearly team offsites.
